Newsletter Safe Sender List
Don't miss out on important information from Karuna
Are your Karuna e-mails being blocked or sent to your junk mail folder?
If so, choose your e-mail application and follow the simple steps to ensure your Karuna e-mails bypass your filters and are delivered directly to your inbox.
Outlook 2003 and 2007
You need to add the Karuna "From" address, karuna@karuna.org.au, to your Safe Senders list:
Existing Subscribers (you already receive Karuna e-mails)
- Open the e-mail in your inbox
- Click on the grey bar 'Click here to download pictures'
- Select option 'Add to Safe Senders List' (for Outlook 2007, there is a 'Safe Senders' icon)
- Select 'OK' to confirm
New Subscribers (you are a new or recent subscriber to Karuna e-mails)
- On the Tools menu, click 'Options'
- On the Preferences tab, click 'Junk E-mail'
- On the Safe Senders tab, click 'Add'
- In the 'Add address', list karuna@karuna.org.au
- Click 'OK'
If e-mail is in Junk E-Mail folder
- Open the e-mail
- Click on the grey bar 'This message was converted to plain text.'
- Select option 'Display as HTML'
- Click on the grey bar again 'Click here to download pictures'
- Select option 'Add to Safe Senders List'
- Select 'OK' to confirm
Hotmail (based on Windows Live Hotmail)
You need to add the Karuna "From" address, karuna@karuna.org.au, to your Hotmail Safe Senders list:
Existing Subscribers (you already receive Karuna e-mails)
- Open the e-mail in your inbox
- Click on 'Mark as Safe' (next to 'You may not know this sender', underneath the subject line)
- Select 'Show Content' to display e-mail with images
New Subscribers (you are a new or recent subscriber to Karuna e-mails)
- Open your mailbox and click 'Options' (located on top right-hand corner)
- Go to Junk e-Mail (sub heading) and click on 'Safe & blocked senders'
- Then click on 'Safe Senders'
- Copy and paste karuna@karuna.org.au into the box titled 'Sender or domain to mark as safe'
- Click the 'Add to list' button
If e-mail is in Junk e-Mail folder
- Open the e-mail in your inbox
- Click on -Mark as Safe' (next to 'You may not know this sender', underneath the subject line)
- Full e-mail will be displayed in your inbox
Gmail
You need to add the Karuna "From" address, karuna@karuna.org.au, to your Gmail Contacts List:
Existing Subscribers (you already receive Karuna e-mails)
- Open the e-mail in your inbox
- Click on 'Always display images from karuna@karuna.org.au (in the green box above the e-mail)
- Follow 'New Subscribers' instructions listed below
New Subscribers (you are a new or recent subscriber to Karuna e-mails)
- Click 'Contacts' on the left menu of the Gmail page
- Click on New Contact Icon (scroll over image displays 'New Contact')
- Copy and paste the Karuna From address, karuna@karuna.org.au into the primary e-mail address dialog box
- Click 'Save'
If e-mail is in Spam folder
- Click 'Spam' on the left side of any Gmail page
- Check mark the box next to our eNewsletter
- Click the 'Not Spam' button along the top
Yahoo (classic view only)
All Subscribers
You need to set up a Yahoo Message Filter to ensure the Karuna eNewsletter is sent directly to your inbox.
- Open your mailbox and click on 'Options' then select 'Mail Options'
- Click on the 'Filters' option, featured on the left hand side menu.
- Click on 'Create or Edit Filters'
- Click the 'Add' link on the Filters page to create a new Message Filter
- Update the 'From header' with: 'contains' and karuna@karuna.org.au
- Click the 'Choose Folder' pull down menu and select inbox
- Click the 'Add Filter' button
If e-mail is in Spam folder
- Open the e-mail in your Spam folder
- Click on 'Not Spam' button
- Full e-mail will be displayed in your inbox
- Add karuna@karuna.org.au to your Message Filter following the instructions for All Subscribers
